Coursera.org is a venture funded to make money. It’s an educational technology company that offers a wide range of online courses. Coursera works in tandem with colleges and other establishments to ensure most of their courses are easy to access online. Coursera are offering courses in business, social sciences, physics, biology, mathematics, digital marketing, humanities, engineering, data science, computer science and medicine among others.

TED is an independent non-profit dedicated to spreading ideas, usually in the method of short, influential conferences. TED started in 1984 as a conference where Design, Entertainment and Technology congregated, and now covers just about all topics from global issues to science to business  in at least 110 languages. Meanwhile, self-reliantly run TEDx events help to share ideas in people around the globe.

Justin Guitars has hundreds of free guitar lessons on their web site. It’s taken Justin 15 years to create them all. Justin’s guitar lessons are completely free but rely on the donations from the people who use the site to keep the site running but you only have to donate if you can afford it.

Mental floss is the global media brand that gives clever, inquisitive knowledge junkies their daily fix with upbeat, witty explorations of everything from science to pop culture to tech to history. Their team of at least 40 journalists in the U.K. and U.S. are dedicated in finding the most interesting components of everything our readers want to learn about and much more.

Lifehacker is a site about life hacks and software which started on 31-1-2005. It was originally started by Gawker Media and is now owned by Univision Communications. The blog posts cover a wide range of subjects including: Mac, Linux,  Microsoft Windows programs and Android and IOS, as well as broad range of life tips and tricks. The staff keep the site updated about 18 times each day, with less updates on weekends. The Lifehacker slogan is "Tips, tricks, and downloads for getting things done. Also Lifehackers have 4 In addition, Lifehacker has four worldwide editions, Lifehacker UK, Lifehacker India, Lifehacker Japan and Lifehacker Australia which feature just about all the posts from the U.S. edition along with extra content specific to that region.

Duolingo is a free site for learning a new language it includes a app, as well as a digital language skill valuation exam. Duolingo offers all its language courses for free and offer 68 courses on almost 28 languages with many more courses in development. The App is available on a few platforms, Windows 8 &10 and also Android and IOS and with almost 150 million listed users across the globe.

Books


Gutenberg offers a lot of free e-books to pick from, they have over 53,000 free e-pub books, free to download or read online with your kindle book tablet, This is all free and there is no need to register with them but if you find them helpful they would like you to donate a small amount to keep the site up and running and also that they can improve their catalogue of books.
